Wellness, not diagnosis
SACOM PET products (Kite, Hearth, Daybook and Tempo) are designed as wellness and tracking tools. They are not veterinary medical devices. They don’t diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition in animals, and they aren’t a substitute for professional veterinary examination, advice or care.
What a flag means
When our products flag a change, it means a pattern differs from your pet’s own recent baseline. It doesn’t mean your pet is ill, and the absence of a flag doesn’t mean your pet is well. Many changes have ordinary explanations. Some health problems produce no change our products can observe.
Always consult your vet
If you’re concerned about your pet’s health, contact a licensed veterinarian, whatever our products show. Never delay or disregard veterinary advice because of information from our products or this website.
Third-party testing
Planned SACOM PET Health services (such as genetic, blood, at-home and microbiome testing) will be performed and reported by independent licensed laboratories and testing providers, and some will be ordered through your veterinarian. SACOM PET does not perform, interpret or diagnose from these tests; it helps you organize results. Always review results with a licensed veterinarian. These services are planned and not yet commercially available, and organizations mentioned as prospective providers have no partnership with or endorsement of SACOM PET unless we state otherwise.
Emergencies
Our products and this website aren’t for emergencies. If your pet is injured, can’t breathe properly, has collapsed, may have been poisoned, or is otherwise in distress, contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital immediately.
Location tracking
Location features depend on satellite signals, connectivity, battery and the device being worn. They may be unavailable or inaccurate, and they don’t guarantee that a lost pet will be found. Always use a collar ID tag and keep your pet’s microchip registration up to date.
Fit and safety
Always follow the fitting instructions and check the fit regularly. For cats, use a breakaway collar. Remove the device if your pet shows irritation or distress.
